Harvoni is truly a miracle drug. I hope that all who need it will be able to get it and that new cures and treatments for the other genotypes will have hope as well. Good luck to all of my hep-C brothers and sisters.
I heartily second your hope! Congrats on your happy news. ~ Roo

Thanks, everyone for the congrats and kind words. I know I am not totally out of the woods yet, but I am confident that I will be completely hep-C free at the end of treatment. I have no side effects at all at this point and the few that I had in the first week were very minor compared to Interferon/Ribaviron. I feel like I have a new lease on life. I do have other health issues and have been hoping to knock "the big one" off of the list so I can get really aggressive with the others. That day seems to have finally come.

Paul, your quick liver enzyme improvement has occurred with others on this forum including my own experience. I had hoped for improvement, but never expected AFT/ALT to return to normal in such a short time. They are indeed miracle drugs.
You are on your way to SVR.
Ro, I am confident that your news will be positive as well!

Hi Paul,
Thats great news!! I remember seeing the results telling me my body was back to normal after decades to the contrary. It's a real relief to know that the nightmare is almost over and your effort has been worth it. Congratulations and continued good luck is the order of the day!!

I just received word from my doctor's office that for the first time in my adult life, my liver enzymes are all normal, and there is no detectable hep-C in my blood. I will be taking the medication for the full 12 weeks, and I am confident that I will have SVR at post 12 week reevaluation. Harvoni is truly a miracle drug. I hope that all who need it will be able to get it and that new cures and treatments for the other genotypes will have hope as well. Good luck to all of my hep-C brothers and sisters.
Congratulations Paul, great news!
How Fantastic!
