Thanks for sharing your approach to curing yourself of HCV Matt. I hope others will share their method, philosophy, and experience so perhaps we can all gain tips from each other.
I agree with most of what you say here. What helps me with stress and everyday life is the practice of Mindfulness. I imagine most people have heard of Mindfulness practice but if you have not, here is a good start -- www.youtube.com/watch
I just gained an extra four weeks of Sovaldi and Olysio and am hoping to be cured. If that should occur, my aim is to always maintain a sense of gratitude and humility with the hope of somehow advocating for others who only have Medicaid.
btw, was the AbbVie Turquoise II trial with the same Abbvie drugs that were just approved today?

I am somewhat apprehensive to reveal my personal approach to HCV treatment,, but if sharing this can aid even just one person to achieve SVR I will consider it worthy.
After 60 years of living as a human being and 7 years with the knowledge of living with HCV and trying to figure out how to remedy a cure for this loathsome disease one realizes its more than a worthy adversary and therefore requires much forethought and deep consideration on how to approach a long concentrated treatment. Every person chooses an approach or plan of attack whether they know it or not. If you have relapsed before it just amplifies your desire to figure out another and better path to follow so one can ultimately achieving SVR. So this manifesto is just a one way, not the best or only way its just something to consider and learn from.
Please, let me know what is working for you! We all can learn from each others ways and successes
Part 1 - The Approach
My first and only attempt at HCV treatment for 12 weeks was viewed by myself as a physical remedy by taking the Abbvie trial drugs to stop the virus replicating in a well thought out physical science via an HCV clinical trial that was for me from start to finish very stressful and poorly executed.
That was 2 years ago and 1 1/2 since relapse occurred so I had a lot of time to think about how I would approach the next treatment. Is it really just strict physical laws that bring a cure or is there more. Its well established that the placebo effect is a real world documented phenomenon.
One could call it the power of expectation or intention. With that in mind I have determined that this 24 weeks of treatment via Harvoni should include the Body, Mind & Spirit or the total being / person
The treatment of the Body is the taking of the Meds daily with strict adherence and getting proper amounts of sleep and exercise with a good healthy diet of whole foods and not eating junk/dead foods and avoiding fast food restaurants. Also limiting any highly physically or emotional stressful situations
The treatment of the Mind & Spirit is incorporating the power of expectation through Affirmation ,Meditation ,Visualization. Getting ones mind right or in the correct state of mind for receiving treatment is IMO critical to success. This is something that is not a one time in the beginning only attitude. This focus of the Mind & Spirit is something that IMO has to done on a daily basis, preferable at the time of taking the medication.
Its interesting that the words Medication and Meditation only have one letter difference, one is the physical side and one is the mental/spiritual side. A happy joyful life as a human can not exist without both, therefore treatment of any malady/ disease should include both.
The goal is to be fully medicated and then meditatively instruct the conscious and unconscious mind to resource and incorporate the medicine to seek, find and then inhibit any further viral production in the entire body.
