got a call in to the doc to see what cold meds are ok...............I think maybe a lot of water may just be as good as anything. This is such a different ride than the interferon thing and mainly because of all the support here. Cakewalk... Thanks yall!!

Hey Ronnie,
just saw you mention taking Benadryl for the sneezing. If you're needing an antihistamine during the day and Benadryl makes you tired, try Zyrtec or its generic called Certrizine. It worked very well for me during treatment. Always check with your doc before adding anything though, but it should be okay. Keep at it, you're doing great!

RC,
The rest of your tx time will remain just as "uneventful". It will be 8 wks for me this Friday and it has been
"ho hum" and a yawn.

I have had terrible alergies and have been taking Benadryl and melatonin for a long time for that and also a sleep aid. No melatonin now but still the Benadryl. I could try without it and see if I can still sleep... Right now I'm sneezing with either a cold or allergy/ sinus. Scared to take anything for fear of messing up harvoni. I can get through anything to keep this up

Hi Ronnie,
Welcome to the forum! Isn't that stuff the greatest? We've had one story after another on how easy this stuff has been. Let's keep that lucky streak going! It has been great to witness the improvements in care and treatment with the new protocols. You should do very well and if you follow suit, will be undetected in short order! Good luck and keep your attention on hydration, it really helps!

Hi RC, thanks for your update and glad your Harvoni treatment is going so well!
I`ve noticed other people saying that they have more energy after they`ve started this treatment and that has to be a good sign.
Just wondering why you need to take Benadryl at night, if you don`t mind me asking? Has it been prescribed by your doctor?
Keep doing what your doing and keep us updated...best of luck!

today marks 2 weeks since I started taking Harvoni. I can honestly say I feel better than I have felt in a long time. I sleep as well as I did before beginning treatment and haven't experienced any notable side effects. I am taking a benedryl at night and absolutely nothing else. Drinking a lot of water. More energy it seems.
