Fireman Rob,
Congratulations on SVR 24! You did it - in spite of your doctor :)
I think we may have the same clueless doctor. If my doctor would only read this board, he could triple his knowledge of HCV treatment.

On a rather hilarious note my doctor just called and asked, "so, where are you in your treatment, again?" Wow!!! I'm glad to be done with him too! Ha Ha.
Congratulations Rob on putting both nightmares behind you. I put up with the same crap from my doctor (and whole treatment team) repeatedly through my whole treatment so I can identify with you. I'm happy for you on both SVR 24 and gaining peace of mind by loosing the daydreaming dr .

Congrats Rob on theSVR! :) That's a beautiful thing. Enjoy the hcv free life. Back when I relapsed on the S/O, my pcp was totally clueless about it. (they were drawn in her office) I changed my PCP shortly thereafter. I had other health issues she misdiagnosed so it was time for a change. Happy for you! Be well.

Hey Rob,
Yah Buddy!!!! I'm so happy to get this news! Youve been through a lot, from getting that tatt, then finding out it came with an extra little surprise... Then the hassle to get treatment, wondering what you would do, but still you persisted. You got approved for a great new protocol you weren't sure you would qualify for and then learning it was on the way. A few issues during treatment but you buckled in and rode it to the buzzer! I'm glad we could be here to help you along the way and I'm happy to be able to share your joy. The thought of a cure was always there but we all have been cautiously optimistic. Until that is, the last test comes in and you gulp, take a breath and then start reading, looking for that word, 'Undetected'. When you see it, you realize it's over, you did it! Congratulations my old friend, you deserve this. Keep it moving forward Rob, there's nothing stopping you now! Good luck...

Hey Everyone,
Doing my blood work yesterday was extremely stressful and felt exactly the same as my EOT and SVR 12 tests. I felt better about the outcome after seeing my quick to post CMP as my ALT/AST were both 27.
Today it was confirmed with the golden standard viral titer that I'm officially SVR 24 (Not Detected). This is truly a benchmark to finally put this nightmare behind me. Everyone that has helped me along the way, I'm truly grateful for!
On a rather hilarious note my doctor just called and asked, "so, where are you in your treatment, again?" Wow!!! I'm glad to be done with him too! Ha Ha.
S/O did the trick for me... Have a great day everyone!
