I told Tom that HE MUST got on this site and report his experience with the harvoni and hopefully he will be a helpful "tool and inspiration" for many others who haven't done well with previous treatments. We go to Mt Sinai on the 12th and can't wait to his liver surgeon the good news. As we all know, if he beats the hep C, the chance of his liver cancer returning is much lower.

HI Laura! This is excellent news and I`m so pleased that Tom`s approval for Harvoni came through so quickly!
You`ve both shown such determination and courage all the way through and I`m really hoping this treatment will be the one to finally clear the virus for good. 24 weeks on Harvoni should do it this time, and I wish Tom all the best of luck!

That's great news, give Tom my (our) congratulations! After so many attempts and disappointments, we're going to be positive and expect that this is his time to succeed! Tom went to his doctor here Thursday and the Pharmacy network called him yesterday to say he got the approval. He called the nurse this morning and will have the doctor fax the script for harvoni on Wednesday. Hopefully he will start his 24 week treatment this weekend and the sixth time will be a charm. Very excited and hope that this time it works!!!! Hope everyone is well and praying that this may be just what we were waiting for....a cure.
