Thanks for the label, it shows me that while it contains many beneficial nutrients, etc., it also is full of various supplements. The general rule is to avoid all supplementation during treatment. They can alter results and possibly affect the efficacy of the treatment drugs themselves. Unless there is a specific reason you need these items, I wouldn't do it. Either way, you need to ask your doctor before making any decision like this.

John,
I completely failed to address your question on the Pea protein. I believe it would be very beneficial. The articles I have read on the pea protein does state it provides at least 30% of your daily iron allowance and good plant protein. Just be sure that your iron levels aren't adversely affected by it Probiotics would be a great idea for all of us and will help balance the beneficial gut bacteria that is so important for proper digestion and nutrition. What form of Artichoke are you speaking about? Real or supplemental? Real is always the better option! I still recommend you running it by your healthcare team while on treatment.

John,
I don't recommend the use of any supplementation while on treatment, unless you get authorization from your doctor. Many supplements, especially Milk Thistle will alter your liver enzymes, resulting in abnormal readings. Be cautious.

What do we think of pea protein powder with a liver support containing milk thistle and artichoke while on harvoni?
