Woot! That's great news. A positive sign that improvements have already begun. One step down and one step back from possible decompensation is excellent! That's good news for many people here. It gives everyone in a similar situation hope and first hand knowledge that it can happen. Keep the good news comin'!

That is excellent news, Nirmalee! Ascites and varices are two of the primary problems us cirrhotics have to monitor. It's great to hear that your ultrasound shows that the ascites has cleared up. This should be a good sign that you will have continued liver health improvement over time. Keep up the good work!

I went for an ultrasound today and it appears that I have lost the fluid from my abdomen. I know that my bilirubin level is down so I'm hoping that I have made the step back from decomensated to compensated. I know I have gone down a stage on the Child-Pugh level anyway. So far, so good!
