The condition only lasted about 30 minutes. I do know one other person had a similar experience. I will mention to my doctor
alls good now. Other earlier side effects seem to have subsided

Hi Kerry,
Bummer about your vision problems. I've just started week 7 with Harvoni. I have been fortunate to not have experienced any sides with this protocol.
You may want to check with your doctor or optometrist to see if your current vision problems could be due to inflammation. The only discernible thing this virus has given me is a condition called vasculitis, which is inflammation of the blood vessels. It causes me to have "flares", especially when it's cold (below mid 70s!) and sometimes makes my left eye blurry.
I drink a ton of water every day (ounces equal to half what I way in pounds) and the nurse who called me the first week told me that helps a lot. Don't know if it's true, but I haven't had any sides.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out for you.

Hi Kerry,
Sorry to hear you're having vision problems. I don't have any personal information on this but hopefully someone on the protocol will chime in soon. I checked a little background information and didn't see any mention of this happening before. That doesn't mean it hasn't happened to someone else. The old treatments were known for causing vision problems and sometimes resulted in stopped treatment. While that's probably not the issue in your case, anytime you experience vision problems on any new medication, it's wise to get it looked at. Give your doctor a call and explain what's happening. S/he may have you see an eye doctor, or have you come in. I do suggest if you aren't already, to be sure you're hydrating sufficiently and if you're having dry eye problems, the use of a lubricating non medicated eye drop may help. Let us know what you find out. Good luck...
