Counting tonight, my husband's Harvoni treatment will finish in 14 days....MOTHER'S DAY! A long awaited gift for me! Funny how things work out. When I had my Breast Cancer DXM it was the day before his birthday! I gave him a great gift....a cancer free wife!
I pray that everyone slays the dragon and moves on with their healthier lives!

Great news, Roey and Ro! Onward to SVR!
Ro, I had the 2 for 1 special last year with a colonoscopy included with the endoscopy. My doctor wanted to screen for varices as a routine exam, so I thought why not do a colonoscopy at the same time since it had been five years.
Looking forward to continued good reports.

What a relief to reach the end of treatment; yet there is still much waiting to do But the time to hear SVR is nearer! Congratulations for making it 6 months. When I had 4-5 months I was told I had to do 48 weeks! We do what we have to do because we can't live without a liver!
Glad it's over for you

Hey Ro
Congrats on completing your 24 weeks, it seems like me and many others that the first 12 weeks were easier than the last 12 weeks. The last eight or six seems to be effecting the respiratory system in some of us. I guess we should not complain as this protocol is still 10 times easier than the old SOC.
Anyway I looking forward to reading about your 4 week labs that will read UND if your Doc is doing them then.
Hoping all turns out well, remember the trials had almost 100% SVR for 24 weeks

Hi Ro,
Way to go! Congratulations on completing tx, I share your joy! 24 weeks of any kind of tx is stressful and your EOT success is to be celebrated.
Now you can take the time you need to really rest and recover. It may take some time to get there but better days are ahead. You have done well and stayed the course, pat yourself on the back, you earned it!
Now is the time to shine up your dancing shoes because SVR is in your future!

Just took my last pill.....the first 20 weeks were not bad, BUT these last 4 weeks have been a challenge. I have dealt with bronchitis, (still coughing 4 weeks later), sore ribs from coughing, then originally thought I had gout turned out to be pseudogout (Uris acid levels normal), and I am still limping ( could not take the anti inflammatory medication)..Now having rheumatoid work up, and the fatigue. All I want to do is sleep, my body seems to be screaming "stop the madness, I need a break!" I just am sooooooo done and now pray it was all worth it.
The biggest challenge was trying to find meds that could be taken along with Harvoni, or with chirrosis and not hav any ill effects. Unfortunately there were very few medications that fit my scenario.
Well, that is all in the past, I have had my labs drawn and now wait for a "verdict".
Still trying to maintain my positivity (for me and all of you!)
This forum has truly helped me through these last 6 months. The posts have been informative. It is so nice not to be alone .
I continue to send out positive thoughts and energy for us all.
