I get pretty bad joint pain....especially when I am fatigued and feeling the flu-like symptoms from the meds.  I have a history of lower back and hip problems so feel it there but also in my lower legs.  I do not feel it all of the time.  Is there a specific time of day or trigger for you (like the meds for me)?

I never knew about the vitamin D being depleated on treatment.  Also, I do know that the interferon, ribavirin, and incivek can cause hemolytic anemia and hinder red blood cell production in the bone marrow....I don't know if that contributes to pain but our leg bones are big and have lots of marrow.

keep us posted on what you find out from your doc,

Meghan

Hi baddog,

I'd suggest you get your Vit D levels checked out as a deficiency can cause leg and hip pain.

That's really interesting. Did not know that. Thanks.
