Congrats Sally

You are amazing Sally! 48 weeks can feel like a lifetime on that treatment. You well deserve and long restful break with good lab reports. Onward and upward to SVR for you.

Oh Sally, very well done!

I remember when you first joined us and I`m so pleased you`ve finally done that last shot and have only a few more pills to go, congratulations to you!!  biggrin

You`ve been a real trooper getting through a tough 48 weeks on incivek triple and you should feel very proud of yourself!

Take it easy while you`re recovering and building up your strength, ready for your wonderful trip to Florida!  (Wish I was going with you!)

And all the best of luck with your EOT results, keep us posted!

Hey GT,

It has been my pleasure to meet you and help in any way possible! You helped keep a smile on my face when I needed it most And I thank you for that. You've had a long battle and I'm thrilled you're getting the opportunity to see your son here in the States. Once in the Keys you'll be a short 3 hours from me. I hope you have fun and enjoy our abundant sunshine! I look forward to hearing updates along the way and will keep my fingers crossed that you have smooth sailing and SVR in your future! My best to you and your family...

Tig

Hi Sally,

Congrats on getting to the finish line! I remember back in January how you didn't think you'd make it.

Best wishes for the VL tests to come. It'll take time to feel 'normal' again, so take it easy. Give yourself a pat on the back. Cheers.

Congratulations Sally!! I remember what I felt like after 28 weeks of that stuff and can only imagine what you're feeling like. Kind of like being pulled through a knot hole backwards perhaps??? Just a few more days and you'll be done with the lot of it and then the recovery can begin. Don't be in a hurry, it won't help. It took me months to recover and the Riba is the longest hanger on in the group. The anger and irritation took me the longest to get past and I'll have you know, I didn't replace that box of potato flakes, lol!! What a memory... I know everyone that has ever had to take Ribavirin has had something similar occur on tx. Be very proud of yourself and what you have accomplished. No easy feat at all. Thank God you won't ever have to do something like that ever again! Rest and recover and keep us informed of all the good news sure to come! I'm so happy for you... Good luck!

Tig

A big congratulations to you!!!  I don't know you either, but give you major applause for sticking it through 48 weeks.  That is quite an accomplishment.  Best of luck to you and may the road ahead be smoother.

Hi there all

Its been a very long time since I posted...... Im now in week 48 and on Monday I took my 48 INF shot which was then rammed into the yellow box with the other partners in crime and the lid shut firmly.... the Riba finishes at 1800 hrs on Sunday so a little bit more to go...its been a tough journey, most of it spent in survival mode and dried potato flakes mode!!!biggrinbiggrin . Im knackered and feel as though I have been turned inside out and back again and that some one was constantly moving the finishing line..as the sign in heart break lane says for the Royal Marines  finishing their long runs "Its only pain, 500 metres to go"..wink

There have been days when I questioned my resolve and others when I thought, even with low HB this is fine and life carried on as normal (well triple therapy normal). I don't know what to expect for the recovery but its onwards and upwards now.

The support and caring given by people who I will never meet has been very touching and makes you realise that there is so much good in people and when the going gets tough its what gets you through.

Thank you

Sally
