Hi..Just trying out posting really, but, yes, very good idea Poppy.

A lot of people when first diagnosed are looking for alternatives to the combo therapy and making it clear that your talking about complimentary/nutritional issues makes a world of difference.

Hey, this place is great! Well done!

I absolutely agree Poppy!!smile....and i don't think it is pedantic at all....previous experience has shown how important it is that the wording be 'just right'!!smile......

Hope you are having a good weekend.
Love and hugs

Hi Minerva

Hope you are wide awake and bushy tailed this sunny day.

I hope you don't mind me saying, but I feel it would be safer for us to use the term COMPLIMENTARY therapies rather than ALTERNATIVE therapies, so that there is no hint whatsoever that we are suggesting these therapies or suppliments could be used as an alternative to SOC but rather to compliment our life/health balance whether using SOC or not.

Sorry to be pendantic but I know you will understand what I am getting at.

Hugs xx

If sticky's are possible?, we could put one at the top of this section....'disclaimer' type as Poppy suggests, and we could put a sticky in Post Tx Section with the Survey too.

Love and hugs

p.s. How about 'Alternative Therapies' as a title?

Well er...wossat Bogey....Oh yeah! Refer above I know the subtitle is a bit long but we need to get it right. Along with a disclaimer cos it's one of the topics I'm most interested in. People need to be aware jus how much we can help ourselves without the solution being written on a piece of paper [script]

Could we do a sticky for the Hep C survey for posts tx'ers so guests could fill if post Tx?

Das off topic ashamed f.... u Bogey bleh hmm Yeah I am outta bed biggrin I want more emoticons >> brill Lau luv it

smileHi Lau

I think we need to be careful to describe alternative therapies as treatments or cures.  I understand what you mean but some people may take a different meaning from those words, especially as treatment is the word that we all use to describe SOC.

Nutrition and Herbal Information, or how about the section being called Nutrition and Complementary Therapies, subtitled 'alternative approaches for mind, body and spirit' and covering all aspects of alternative support, like Denise suggested elsewhere, including meditation, accupuncture etc.

Thanks Lau
If we did this I also think it might be an idea to have a constant post at the start, a sort of disclaimer stating something about the risk of reduced LFT results through supplements and herbs not necessarily reflecting a reduction in liver disease and can actually mask the fact that you have liver damage.

I hope others will come in here and add to this, it is a very important topic and we need to get it right.
