Nice to get an update from you Catie, I was wondering how it was going for Greg.  And yourself of course as you are inevitably effected by all this.  Yes, you`re so right - sometimes rest and sleep are the only things that can help.

Good luck with those results, and I hope the roof work isn`t too disruptive.

Love from Jill xxx

yesterday Greg had his 4 week bloods done - now we have to wait an interminable 2 or 3 days for results ...

the 2 week tests showed totally normal liver enzyme levels, haemoglobin low but no danger there etc - all pointing to the meds doing their thing which was very encouraging and gave Greg a good boost

the last 2 weeks have been a mix of a few things - massive headaches - paracetamol kept them at a bearable level (and yes he does have enough water - approx 3 lts a day) exhaustion that only rest and sleep helps and nausea that maxalon helps

he also finds that keeping his blood sugar levels up helps hugely - he forces down a good breakfast with the ribaviron them snacks all day between meals - glucose jelly beans are the quick fix snack

he's stoic and strong and definitely my hero ...

new roof going on the house starting Monday - yee ha!!
