Thank you for your input, I appreciate it so much.

The reason I test so often is because my husband

had an abscessed tooth but didn't tell me until I

kissed him and tasted--yuck.  He then told me about

the abscess, which he said started about two weeks

prior....so every time we kissed deeply, it seeped

all over my mouth.  Just trying to be on top of this.

Thank you so much...I yelled over the phone to my

Doctor's assistant loud enough to get an appointment

TODAY and I will insist on answers.

Either you have the antibodies for HCV or you don't. Ask your physician: Do I have the antibodies for HCV or not? It's that simple.

Secondly, I don't think you need to panic and get tested every month. Very low transmission rate with monogomous couples. Just don't use his razor or toothbrush.

Gidday haitin waitin,

Kidney problems often can come with HepC but not usually in the short-term nor are they seen as any guide to possible viral presence.  I'm not sure what 1 means unless it's like meant to stand for incomplete or inconsistent tests, either which might occur if the result was unclear.

If the doctor won't give you an answer, YELL a bit louder - alternatively have the test again with a doctor that not only does the test, but gives you the results and explains them to you; sorry I can't be any more help but I never gave results like that in my lab.

Cheers,

Brendan.

My (ex!) husband didn't tell me he had Hep C.  Once I found out, I began testing every month.  For six months I tested "0" on the scale used here that counts an 8 as positive.  This month I tested as a "1".  Does this mean I have Hep C?  Can't get an answer from my doctor.  Also, he did kidney test which was (high) ten points out of range egr....don't know what that means either.  Thanks in advance for any help.
