Good common sense information. I quit smoking before tx. Sounds like it was a wise choice. As if we need a Dr. to tell us that. Lol. Lol. Great stuff.

Thanks for these James,

     I assume that this is the reason that they insisted on doing the very expensive DNA testing which took weeks to complete for my hemochromotosis when the iron institute says just take the iron out.  If I understand this correctly, they wanted to rule out that my liver was keeping too much iron because of the Hep C or because of the genetic disease.
