Nikki, go check out the information in this thread- Roche or Schering-Plough (dependent upon the peginterferon you will be getting) WILL send you the meds you need!!!!

Also, write your State Insurance commission. Letters help push those rotten insurance companies to pay.

Sorry Nikki,

They did the same thing to me.

I can only hope your situation is as easily resolved as mine was. They wanted a blood test more recent than 90 days for me to get approved. (my Dr is so slow it took more than 90 days to get back in the last time around) So I needed another lab visit and then had to wait another few week for approval. It was awful and difficult waiting the few extra weeks.

I'm sorry this happened. I am not sure how common it is, sorry I can't help there. You may want to ask this question in medhelp.org in the HCV forum there are people there who may have dealt with this.

Hi all,

I was going to be starting tx last week. The insurance company has denied my pharmacy claim for Pegesys, even with all of the medical information they requested and my doctor sent them.  I do plan on a appeal. Is this a common thing to happen?

Much thanks,

Nikki
