Thanks Steff!  I cannot stress enough that my #1 priority is Renee's health.  That comes over everything else.  It was merely curiosity about that part of our relationship.  I have told my girlfriend over and over it will be up to her about what she feels comfortable with and I'll will completely understand.  I know treatment can be very rough and making it as easy as possible is the goal.

Hi Lindsay and a very warm welcome from me smile

It can be very tough on a partner, supporting their loved one during tx and the drugs can have some very strong effects, mentally as well as physically. I can honestly say that for me, the last thing I was interested in was any sort of sexual relationship during treatment.

So yes, my girlfriend and I went to her appointment on Thursday.  The appointment went very well, but we realized we could not address one specific side effect that we were curious about because my girlfriend's mom was there.  I know that particularly starting out, my girlfriend will probably be very run down, and I've told her that throughout treatment, I can totally wait and I'm going to be patient and wait for her to engage sexually.  I've told her she can make any advances towards me.  I just don't want her to feel bad if her desire is there but physically she can't have sex.  What have been your experiences (partners or people being treated) with sexual side effects?  Obviously this is the least of our concerns as her health is our #1 priority right now, but for a relationship, the sexual side is still important too. Thanks!
