I asked my nurse about a similiar question - and she said upon SVR, my doctor will provide me with a certificate. This certificate can be shown to any insurance provider, since their blood test would only show antibodies, not SVR. The SVR test is much more expensive than the HCV test.

And life insurance too.  Mine is going up big time in June and if I'm clear and no virus and the numbers are all normal?   They better cut me some big time slack.

If we acheive SVR, at any point are we able to get regular health insurance? Meaning; I currently have my health insurance thru the State of Texas High Risk Pool, it's very expensive and pretty crappy but it the only insurance avadible to me due to "pre-existing" condition. If SVR is acheived, then does the pre-existing condition diappear or am I forever marked the the dreeded HCV brand. There's nothing I look forward to more then being able to cancel my pool policy and go out and buy a regular policy.

Excellent question!  I have the Obamacare Previous Condition insurance program.  Thank God for that.  definltely would love to be able to get "regular" lower-priced insurance.  I currently pay $360 per month for an individual policy with a $3,000 deductible.  Actually it used to cost much more but they lower the rate.
