Great article.  I'm thankful everyday that I'm someone who has health insurance.  Too many people can't get afford testing let alone treatment.

yup. im born in 64. good article... i know too, that a lot of young people now are pretty casual with tattoos. a whole lot of people do home tattoos here in nz, and i always tell people to be careful... its gonna be a new epidemic...

im lucky in that i have heaps of tattoos, so when i told my work i had hepc i said, it was probably from tattoos... and they said, yeh well you do have a few. so no worries there. but im pretty sure it was from iv drugs...

I'm right in the middle of that demographic. There are several ways I could have contracted the disease. Not really important now though. Just move forward with treatment.

Elizabeth, thanks for that article, ya...it's gonna be a problem, and I think the idea about folks in that age range getting tested is a VERY good idea. Just like you would test for any other disease that is wide spread,...I mean, polio and smallpox are virtually gone, so perhaps one day there will be a vaccine.

This is the title of an article in the LA Times yesterday.  I thought it might be of interest to some of you.  Link to the article:
