Sorry to hear about your friend, Dave, it`s so hard when we lose someone close, and it really does make us feel thankful for our lives and what we have.

I love the photos, thanks for sharing them with us.  What a thoughtful wife you have!  We should all have one of those t- shirts!  And your little rescued dog looks like your new best friend, that`s lovely! smile

Take care, Jill xx

Thanks for sharing that Dave. I hate to hear that we lose anyone but it also makes our plight all the more real and poignant. Tippin my water bottle to Otto's memory.

Our friend Otto passed away a few years ago today after a battle with cancer.  The Big Man was known for his generosity both amongst his peers and the charity work he did.  One quote he was known for was "Give Thanks" (for what you've got).  It became a rallying cry amongst his friends during treatment.  Today I'd like to thank Otto for reminding me every day to be appreciative of the things I have no matter how small.  I'd like to share a few pictures of things I am thankful for today:

1) My super hero crime fighting outfit.  I was having a beaten down day when this arrived in the mail a few weeks ago.  Thanks Wifey!

2) I was feeling crappy last night too but still got to see some amazing fireworks for the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge.  They created a 270 foot tall "waterfall" of fireworks off the bridge at one point.

3) Lexi- We rescued a dog about six weeks ago. (with all my free time and excess energy) smile  At first we could only pet her head at full arm's length.  That way she could back up quickly if she thought you might grab her.  However she quickly adjusted to my schedule of coming home from work exhausted and immediately collapsing on the couch for two hours before dinner.  Who rescued who?

4) Finally an apology.  You've been there for me through TX and I've taken you for granted.  In fact, I've complained and bitched about you when you've only had my best interests at heart.  Thank-you for the opportunity to travel down this road together fellow dragon slayer.
