Well Musicman, you appear to have the same IP address as Tek.

How about you take your pitiful self somewhere else and get a life, instead of wasting good people's valuable time.

..... maybe a psychiatric assessment would be a good investment, too

Steff

Hi Musicman and welcome smile

My advice would be to for your wife to ask her doc this question or wait for the results of the HCV RNA test.

We are not a medical forum and this is stated in the New Users Information.

Steff xx

Check this study out...looks like she has a good chance of having a false pos?

My wife was just told by her doc that she tested pos for hcv but she is does not fall in any high risk category at all.  I had her call the doc back and the the S/CO value and it was 1.4.  From my reading, a value of 3.8+ would indicate a 95%+ confidence rating, but a 1.4 is just 'barely' positive IMHO, considering the document stated anything over .9 was abnormal.

This just looks like a 'weak' positive to me, plus she is in low risk categories.  She had more blood drawn for the PCR RNA test but until that comes back, can anybody eloborate on what I would consider a 'weak' positive and how it relates to a possible false positive indication?

if it's weak, could it mean recent exposure?

Many Thanks.
