Yes, that`s a worry, Mahmoud and I can understand your concern as you suffer from bleeding gums.  It`s always good to be aware of risk factors and eating in restaurants which are known to have good standards of hygiene makes a lot of sense for many reasons.

Hi Mahmoud, welcome!  That`s right, and Malcolm is correct, it`s extremely unlikely that you would be infected this way.  Wishing you all the best.

Thanks Mallani , I usually choose good restaurants , I have heard that the scenario of the infection through a bleeding gum while eating is very unlikely to happen due to many factors such as the one u mentioned (there should be an infected worker bleeding and blood should contaminate plates etc..)  i have also head that the quantity of blood is a major factor (which is not the situation here )

Hi Mahmoud, I guess it is possible but unlikely. You would need to be exposed to the virus on plates, utensils etc. The virus can exist outside the body for several days but it is unlikely that blood from an infected restaurant worker would contaminate plates and utensils. Choose restaurants with good hygiene standards.
