Hi Will, I haven't been fishing for 42 weeks, which is the period I've been on triple Rx! Can't wait to get back out on my boat.

Thanks for the info about the use of antiproteases post transplant. I hadn't seen anything published. It makes sense to try to get the VL down and hopefully the newer drugs being trialled can be used post transplant. I presume you're on Ciclosporin, and wonder how that will interact with the PI's. Found out I had C in 1997. Transplant in 2007

Hi Iris and Will, the protease inhibitors are not approved for post-transplant HCV. All patients with circulating Hep C virus become reinfected after transplant. Treatment with Peg and Riba can be used, but side effects are often severe.

Malcomb you are right triple is not approved yet, however has been used at several medical institutions for about a year, I will be Guinea Pig starting in about one month, Have to change from Prograf to Cyclospoem. By the way Malcomb, like the fish, are you still fishing?

So u didn't beat disease before transplant!
Wow, u have been thru the ringer.
How long have u had Hep C?
Have you had a liver biopsy?
I am 53 w cirrhosis, hoping for SVR!
Hope we all find a cure:)

i've had interferon treatment and peg with ribiviron pre transplant. Now C is sneaking up on me again 5 years post transplant.
