Good luck to you both.

Don't dehydrate. I have 2 liter bottles of water strategically placed in ea of my 3 vehs.

This site is a god send. smile

Thanks everyone for your support.  Well, he had his first shot tonight at 8 pm and said it was very easy, and that he didn't even feel the needle.

It has been 2 hours now, and he doesn't feel any differently.  So hopefully this will keep up!

Husband has HCV.  Viral load @ start of treatment was 1,600,000.  Genotype 2.

Treatment includes Ribavirin pills and Peginterferon injections for 24 weeks.

UND at 4 weeks, 12 weeks and EOT plus 1.5 weeks and 3 months.

Great! Time to start the healing. Keep up with the side effects. DRINK the WATER.

58 yo..Relapsed in 99 and again in 2004. Started triple therapy with Victrelis July 22,2012.  genotype 1a. week 8,12,16,24 VL Undetectable..E.O.T -- 6-22-2013,,,EOT + 24., UND. 

SVR !!!

Settle into a routine, keep a positive attitude and be proactive about your diet, h20 intake and side effect management. We are all pulling for you guys.

So glad your husband is choosing to beat
This disease. He obviously has a great care taker In you!

Good luck to hubby and you. As a young Geno 2 it should be a piece of cake. Let us know how he goes and hopefully his 4 week VL will be undetected. Cheers.

Geno 1b, IL28B CT,  x3 prior relapser,  ex-cirrhotic, 75 yo, did 48 weeks with Victrelis/Peg./Riba.  VL 1.28m at start, UNDET. at 8 ,12 ,16 ,24 ,30  and 48 weeks.  EOT 15 Feb 2013 , UNDET. at EOT + 28 weeks. SVR!  Still Undet. at EOT +5 years

Well, the day has finally come!  My husband starts his Ribavirin treatment tomorrow and then the shot on Thursday.  His treatment will last

six months.  Keep us in your prayers!
