Hi Rescape,

Indeed that fat is one of the most difficult parts of Incivek course.
We got miles of threads here with lot of practical advices.
Pls type "fat" or "using Incivek" in the search box or ask any question.
Many of us have been through it and will be happy to share.

Good luck!

Welcome to forum! I mixed olive oil with
Milk. Preferably a sweet milk. I used almond
Milk w vanilla as not a big fan of milk.
Its important to get those 20 grams so medicine
Works properly.
Landscape business....I couldn't handle sunlight
Or sun on Invicek. Wear a hat and cover up.
Take a gallon of water with you. You could
Work a split shift and get a short afternoon nap.
Best wishes,

Hi rescape,

Welcome to the forum and congratulations for being 4 weeks in to the Incivek. You'll find a wealth of knowledge and support on the forum. Sounds like you've got the 20g fat issue sorted at the moment. Theres a really helpful "20g fat" thread on the forum. You may have already found it. It really helped me with introducing some variety to the fat intake. I found fruit smoothie with about 30ml of olive oil the easiest to deal with. had a look at the boost plus, couldn't buy it in UK. Good luck, all the best, Adam

If you're 4 weeks in, then you're 1/3 of the way thru the worst part. Most of the most troublesome sides end when the Incivek, others unfortunately hang around. The high fat deal is a real pain, I gained 20 lbs and my cholesterol shot thru the roof, it's a small temporary price to pay though. Hopefully all goes well with your 4 week VL test and you can end at 24 weeks. The sun and heat can be a real issue while on Incivek. I think the heat made my rash worse and the sun would cause my skin to blister after only a short time of exposure. But everyone experiances sides to a different degree.

Hi Rescape,

Welcome to the Forum. I've just finished a 48 week treatment with the Victrelis triple.

Have you had a liver biopsy to assess your liver status? The results of that together with your 4 week viral Load, will determine your treatment length.

Good luck with your Rx. Cheers.

This is my first post.  I am a 60 year old man, and  I have had hep c for 8 years.  After long discussions with my wife and doctor, I decided to begin triple therapy treatment.  I am in the fourth week now with several of the side effects that bother others.  My biggest problem involves the intake of the 20 grams of fat for each dose of incivek.  I am a picky eater by nature, and trying to force myself to eat in the morning proved undoable.  I took the advice of the boost plus and it is manageable.  I have a landscaping business, do much heavy work myself, and will be starting a new season in two weeks.  I am worried.  Have read hundreds of your posts, and got lots of good advice and encouragement.  Thank you all.
