I'm not sure I replied to the right post? However, thank you so very much. I will find the magic mouthwash. I really do watch my diet as I'm pretty much a vegan. I don't eat sugar, salt, wheat, dairy, or drink caffiene as a rule. I watch any and all chemicals that I put in my body as I'm so sensitive to food due to the Hep C. I do eat popsicles that I make myself and that helps some but not enough.

Thanks so much,

HepperGirl

Thanks so much for your advice. How do you deal with the swollen tongue. I've been afraid it could give me mouth cancer. Have you tried Zinc? I just started taking calcium, magesium, and zinc combination and that helps when I can tolerate taking it. I will try the magic mouthwash. Where can I find it myself?

Hey Heppergirl,
I have had swollen tongue thru out tx.
Ask your doctor for magic mouthwash.
I eat Popsicles to help the pain.
Stay away from salty, spicy food
And choose easy to chew food.
It has been one of my most painful side effects.
Also, eat yogurt daily.
Congratulations on getting past Invicek!

I'm new to this site and hoping to meet some people that can give me some good advice. I just finished my 13th week on triple therapy with Incivec. I keep having a swollen tongue, sores that come and go, difficulty swallowing, and pain in my throat that sometimes hurts really bad, and not to mention acid reflux. I told my doctor and he said just deal with it. I heard taking Zinc can help with the tongue issues. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to continue this treatment? I can't sleep because that's when my tongue really likes to swell up and the dryness in my mouth wakes me up.
