Ouchie,

As a favour to me, would you please drop all the 'LOLs' from your posts. There's nothing to laugh about regarding HCV and treatment, and you're not a child anymore. Thanks.

DONE lol , finally got Doc to request a full HCV panel ( HCV RNA qualitative and quantitative etc ) looking for confirmation and viral load ..... I guess genotype also. Is it weird that I hope I have it ? I mean ..... I've had many of the symptoms of something for a good while and if I find the cause ( HCV ) I can get it treated and start to feel better .... umm , right ? lol

hi, if doc doesn't wants to get u to do VL/genotypisation, do it on your own in private lab (yeah it costs a bit, but hey! i had to do initial test on my own too (PCR/genotypisation)...do not waste time man, go for it! There are lot of doctors (GPs) who do not regard hcv as serious issue or do not have information regarding it...

best

Hi John, yes I agree, getting an HCV Viral Load test done has to be your priority, and if your doctor is reluctant to arrange this then find another one who will.   I`m afraid this isn`t a medical forum, and we can`t possibly answer your questions about symptoms until you find out whether you have an active HCV infection or not.

Best of luck!  ~ Jill

Why on earth don't you get a HCV Viral Load test? If you don't want to know, fine, but to keep posting a list of complaints are a waste of time.

I had to come home - I climbed stairs at work ( 3 sets 3 levels ) I was totally out of breath and my knees buckled - I was very weak and started to get a little dizzy -

tonight I'm sore all over , weak and have a stiff neck among other muscles. I went to my Dr today - he knows about the Hep c antibody positive thing but is putting me into a CT angio test for a possible pulmonary embolism - I'm no Dr but I really don't think that is it. To this day , I haven't been tested for the actual virus and/or a viral load. If the symptoms I'm having now , being this bad .... So sore and weak and tired etc , can possibly be anything other than HCV than I'm lost. My AST was just a little elevated , fatty liver and some distended crap with my gall bladder. I'm starting to wonder if I should almost demand a test for the HCV - would HCV make me this weak and this sore and this tired ? And breath heavy like I'm short of breath ? I NEED TO KNOW !!!!! LoL
