Thanks Jill as always you respond to my wails of help promptly!!! I am ok really just have the occasional wobble!!

Matt thank you for your kind words. As for your question (sorry for the late reply) but unfortunately I don't know if they have fibroscans available in Denmark. I was however surprised that they are not used in the US.

Hey Dopey

Life deals us tuff blows sometimes , sorry to here about your mum.

Sometime we can cheer up our parents / loves ones by our own positive attitude.

Most of the time they want us to succeed and be happy, in turn that brings them a portion of contentment. So keep as positive about yourself and the future as possible.

Dopey, I have a question about Fibroscan. Do them have that available in Denmark?

I'll be on holiday later this year and was considering getting one taken as they are not approved in the USA.

Keep looking for the right trial, and it will hopefully turn up.

Matt

Hi Dopey, your fibroscan result looks very good, that`s great, you have time to wait!  And it`s good news about your blood results too.  I`m sorry to hear that you`re feeling so worried though and not sleeping well.  It`s understandable that you`re scared after what your mum went through, but your liver is in good shape and the future is on your side.  Keep reminding yourself of that!

I`m glad your recovery is going well now anyway, keep moving forward, and maybe try and focus on other happy things in your life while you`re waiting for the new drugs to come along.  Please try not to get too stressed, the warmer weather is on its way so try to get out and make the most of it!  smile

We`re here any time you want to have a ramble!  Take care, Jill

Hi all I've been away recovering from my short tx! Its bizzare, but even though I was only only tx for 4 weeks its taking me a long time to recover from the sx. I remember feeling better sooner after 19 weeks of tx last time. But anyway slowly but surely I'll get there. à

I went for my fibroscan a couple of days ago and was told I have a score of 5.8 or f0-f1. Along with my blood results which are normal, it means my liver is in pretty good nick and I can wait for newer drugs.

It does however always scare the waiting approach as my mum developed the liver cancer on this wait approach.  I know I'm paranoid as my mum had already developed cirrhosis when she was diagnosed in 2001.  It still felt as she wasn't monitored enough to detect the tumour earlier............I know I'm rambling and only seem to come on the forum when I need to ramble. I find it difficult to express my feelings and fears until they boil over and I have to rant.  Sorry I've not slept well!!

my blood results from 18/03/2013 while I was on week 4 of tx

albumin 44

alk phos 178

bilrubin 8

alt.        27
