Welcome aboard. The USS. Interferon will be sailing both calm and rough seas, can't promise that you might have a bit of seasickness, but at least we keep the bathrooms in good working order (just in case LOL). Formal attire will not be required at meals.

Hi Brendalee, I am am a newbie also, started 04/05/13, learning alot here. Feel fine, actually have more energy than I have had in a while. Do not know if that has any thing to do with meds, but anytime I can get some energy is fine whith me. Hardest thing for me ws finding those 20 grams of fat every 8 hours. And I have never eaten breakfast. 8 oz. milk with 2 Tbsp. heavywhipping cream is real easy. Hope all goes well for you. and look foward to hearing from you on progress.

Hi, I'm new too. I'm starting my treatment on Wednesday, actually Tuesday night I'll take the first shot. Good for you to take this step. Good for me too. I'm constantly having to remind myself this will be just a temporary thing. I won't have the side effects forever.

Hi Brengalee,

Welcome to the Forum. You'll find lots of info and support here. Being so young, your side effects may not be too bad. What treatment are you on, and what was the result of your liver biopsy? It would also be helpful to know your Genotype. When we have that info, we can give more specific advice. Good luck and ask any questions.

Hey everyone!!!

I am starting my treatment tonight, I am genotype 1.  Been delaying getting treated, then my Liver enzymes were very high, had a biopsy, and made the decision to start this.  I been kinda waiting, cuz I have ten month old twins and I relized that with twins, there will never be a convienient right time to do this treatment.  I am worried on how im gonna feel!!!  I started the riba in the morning and felt fine tho.
