Hi Shereen,

Can't help much.

Clinical Trials are mostly confined to the USA, with some small trials in Canada, Europe and UK. In Australia we have only 2 small trials at the moment. I doubt whether you would find a trial in SA.

Geno 4 is the commonest in Africa and the Middle East. Treatment results are quite good using Peg Interferon and Ribavirin. Can you talk to a Hepatologist in Jo'berg. Cheers.

Hi All

I live in South Africa and wanted to know if anyone knew of clinical trials happening in SA. My health is not too good, so my doctor recommends treatment. My genoyype is 4, so i guess not to responsive to treatment,  Doc says that the only treatment available in SA is riba/peg combination. Any fellow South Africans out there that can please help?
