Welcome!
Might as well get Hep C out if the way while you
Are still healthy.
Don't see any point in taking tx if still using.
Being sober gives you chance to get this all
Behind you.
Having family in recovery and meeting and us
Will help a lot.
I like Jime's Suggestion, get around people so
You won't be so focused on you and your problems!
That has helped me.
I just finished 48 weeks of tx. Your youth
Is huge bonus and u should finish in 24 weeks
So u r close to half way there.
This forum has been vital to me!

Thank you all so much! I am definetly just taking it one day at a time, sometimes even just a moment at a time. You are so right, being sober is so much better than any other way of life I could imagine! Almost my entire immediate family is in recovery, so I have a lot of support, but having you all helps immensely. Just knowing that there are other people out there that know how it feels, is a huge relief and gives me a lot of hope. biggrin

Congrats on UND!!!!!!

I did it but I have been around for a while. You can do it too. One day at a time is the proven way to get through anything as we know.

Try to go to a meeting every day.Even if you just sit there like a baked potato. Call your sponsor every day. Reach out to a new person to take your mind off your self. Try to get plenty of rest. Drink a lot of water. I had a banana every morning to help with the plumbing issues, might help can't hurt. Thank God you have a chance to get healthy and pray. Pray a lot.

That's all.......lol......being sober is the greatest thing in the world. You can get through anything. Don't try to do it alone.

Good luck!

hi Sarah, welcome to the forum. I'm happy for you that you have started your tx so early in recovery. I had to trust my Doctor by tell him everything about me and my past!  I ask a lot of questions so, I  try not to take step backwards on a day by day bases . I also look in the search  for a lot of the answers that i may need to get thru one moment to the next. This is tuff stuff  but your not alone. good luck and keep posting your progress.

Hey guys! I'm in my 10th week of treatment; interferon, riba, and victrelis. So far, very good, undetected after only 4 weeks! Of course, I have had and do have some crappy side effects, but I'm trudging through. The hardest part for me has been the fact that I am also very fresh and early in sobriety as well. I'm only 24 and could use some advice on dealing with treatment in early sobriety. Thanks for being here! - Sarah
