Thanks for all your help. My primary Dr's nurse calling got me worried. I spoke with my Hep Dr's nurse earlier today and she explained my ALT's went from 35 to 62. She also said don't freak about total VL. I will look into another trial. Thanks Rick

I was at 11 million and working 6 days a week. VL doesn't ' mean much as far as clearing the virus. I've heard of VL as high as 73 million.

Stay as healthy as you can and be ready if a trial comes your way.

Hi Rick, that`s quite a high viral load but we`ve seen much higher ones here and it certainly won`t prevent you from clearing the virus at some point.

There are new interferon-free treatments in the pipline or you could look into getting onto a trial.  As you`ve already done treatment with incivek you wouldn`t be able to do another treatment regime that included a protease inhibitor, but Gilead are running some studies which might be suitable for you.   Checkout Michael`s (`gsx1250fa`) thread, he`s recently completed an all oral trial and is now undetected after his previous attempts at treatment failed..

Sorry Rick, you might wanna try search at top of page for trials, i know how you feel. I am on 3rd try, failed twice before. Hoping this one works, but if it doesn't i know new drugs are coming in a year or two that are peg-free.

I got a call from my Dr's Office about my labs from Tuesday. The nurse informed me my levels are at 10 Million. Should I be Freaking? Here is my post from last year to share some background. Thanks Rick

Hi Folks. My Name Is Rick and my second Hep C treatment failed. First treatment was 6 years ago. Last treatment (tripple treatment with Incivek) started in Jan. Load went from 750.000 down to 47 first month. Then my docter called with bad news. Levels went to 13.000. I asked for new labs in case of mixup. new labs showed 41.000 a week later. My docter refered me to loyola Hosp in Chicago. Was informed new drugs are coming out sometime soon. I asked about being on a study group untill I heard the nurse talk about the fatalities. Have you guys heard of anything coming down the pipeline? Thanks Rick
