Hi  jerseygrl,

If you look in the Forum Abbreviations list in the New Members Section of the Forum, the important Lab Tests are listed.

For blood, the Hb and WCC are most important. For the liver, the ALT level should be followed.      Cheers.

These are the values that I look at:

WBC= White blood cell (infection fighters)

HGB= Hemoglobin (oxygen carrier)

HCT= Hematocrit (carries HGB/red blood cells)

Platelets= stops bleeding

Neutrophils= Baby WBC

AST= liver enzyme

ALT= Liver enzyme

TSH= Thyroid Stimulating Hormone

T4= Thyroid hormone

And of course my Viral Load...either HCV Quant or HCV Log10

Your labs "Normal" levels should be displayed in (---). Every lab has different "normal" values depending on the machines they use to run the analysis.

If you have any questions about your lab values, you can talk with your nurse or ask questions on here.......smile

Hope this helps!
