Hi Daddysgirl, I know exactly how you feel!!! I will be starting treatment this week and I recall when I first got diagnosed with HCV. It is a scary feeling and it brought a lot of anxiety on for me. I am here for you just like the rest of the folks on here. Feel free to contact me if you just need someone to talk to. We are all gonna get thru this!! Brian

I feel like that and I think those things are related to stress and anxiety ..at least the dizziness and heart palpitations (in my case). The fatigue can be the hcv. The only way to rule out something serious is to see your doctor and get tests. In the meantime, try to take it easy.

Hey girl, sorry you are feeling like crap. Are you getting outside for a bit? Taking a slow walk breathing the air might help. Feeling the wind on your face? You've been under a lot of stress. Sometimes it helps for me. take care

It's hard to say exactly what might be causing it, anemia, poor blood perfusion, etc., but I'm sure that the HCV is responsible. You'll have a far better understanding of what is causing your symptoms after you get your lab results back. Please share them and we'll be able to help you understand them. Fatigue and the dizziness are well documented symptoms of Hep C in general, so that should help explain what you're going through now. There are so many symptoms and as you get better you're going to notice those going away, which means one thing, you're on the mend! Stay positive and take care of your mind and body as you move forward!

Can anyone tell me why I feel so drained, dizzy, and have heart palpitations when I'm not even on treatment yet? I've felt like this for two weeks, Thats why I went to the doctors in the first place, Its hard for me to even do the dishes i have to sit in a chair, let alone carry the laundry up and down the stairs.  Plus I want to thank all of you for reaching out to me, My problem is I don't have many friends and am quite lonely.  I'm going to try to find a support group in my area but its hard to get out of the house.

Hi Babette, I have to agree with Angie. I think your husband is dealing with some powerful concerns as well. Since you have decided to keep this quiet, you only have each other to share your concerns with. Make sure you keep those pathways of communication wide open. Is it possible seek the help of a therapist or through your church? That can be very helpful at a time like this. It would be a good idea if he is willing to join us here or another support forum. We have several friends and family members that are part of our group and it might help your husband too. The fears are far worse than the actual truths with this disease. Just remember that treatment has really improved and people are being cured now! There are many success stories right here!

Maybe your husband is just trying to deal with this in his own way. It's scary for everyone involved. I really hope he pulls through for you once everything sinks in. Perhaps he would feel better joining a forum also?

Hi Babette, I agree with Angie too, people react differently and your diagnosis must have come as a shock to your husband as well.  He probably needs time to process it and come to terms with it.  Some people aren`t good at expressing their emotions or concerns and prefer to think things through on their own for a while.  As far as paying for the treatment, it should be pretty much covered by your insurance, or failing that there are other ways of getting the drugs paid for, when you reach that point.

This isn`t at all easy for you, I know, but trust in your relationship and try to stay positive, and know that you`ll get through this. smile

This is day 2 of knowing of my diagnosis, my husband seems a little distant today, I'm trying to enjoy the morning the weather is beautiful and all the little critters are out and playing.  My husband isn't really speaking to me much(that's not normal)he usually is a talker, our good friend came over this morning and he talked to him more than he did me, yesterday he said to try to enjoy life as much as possible, and I'm trying. I hope he doesn't leave me over this diagnosis.  I have no family they have all passed away and I have no brothers or sisters.  Maybe reality is getting to him. Maybe it's the money that it is going to take to help me get treatment, I don't know. But what I do know is I can't do this alone. confuse Also does anyone know how to get my last name off of this site?
