Hi Lawrence,

Sorry you're having so much trouble. As you did not respond to Peg/Riba before and your reinfected transplant would be the same Genotype, I can't imagine why Cedars Sinai would not offer you triple therapy. There are quite a few articles about triple for post-transplant HCV and I'll just post one link. Good luck!

Hello and best blessings .. I got a few questions

had and still have chronic Hep c for ten years going

just had a recent transplant Dec 10th 2012

tried ribosphere and pegentron twice .. Before transplant .. found to be intolerant .. approx 5 years ago

was blessed with a 16 year olds liver dec 12th and now 8 months now  ...

The monster is back .. worse than ever

worse now than ever before with this .. but okay

The Cedars Sinai / bev hills did the transplant ....

But now tells me that they do not offer the " new " third drug ... to shorten my peg and riboshere treatment ... yup ...  they refused  saying it has not been approved by them

what a nightmare ...

My Biggest question is .. am I crazy or  is the transpalnt group insane  ?

I certainely expected the newest add on treatment that shortens the old stuff time to be available by them

or is it the way things are in general the run of the mill these days

Im a medi medi patient if that means anything and does anyone have info / or know what is really available for

us Post transplant recipients ?

Help is heaven

cheers

Lawrence from So Cal / Bev hills area
