Math appears fine to me. They said after 12 weeks (3mo) his Sx would be gone. Now it has been an additional 13 months from the date he thought he'd be recovered. That's 16 isn't it? I hope the brain fog isn't affecting my math, lol!

Hey Thor, sorry to hear about the prolonged problems. I experienced several years of nagging side effects after my first go around with INT in the 90's. The symptoms disappated but  there were continuing reminders of it years later. Like so many others, I'll be celebrating the day that stuff goes the way of the Studebaker. I have had the good fortune of knowing Kellie through treatment (and many others here) and recommend you investigate her suggestions to you. She suffered like you and found great relief following those recommendations. That's one of the greatest benefits of this forum, member experiences with similar symptoms. I've been so grateful for the help and shared knowledge here. We'll all keep hoping the best for you, hang in there!

Hi Thor, I'm sorry about what happened. It is miserable, the sx of the treatments.

I was wondering if you've been tested for the 677T gene mutation. I have 2 copies of this beast, and was beset with horrible cognitive depression and physical exhaustion that presented itself about week 12/13 of treatment.

I had to stop tx in 2003 because of it also. I homozygous with this and it really didn't present itself until I went on the interferon tx. Right before I went to the psy. I could hardly speak or even use a pencil or pen to write. It was really scary. I was truly just about comatose.

It would be good to look into this as it might lend you some answers to your current state.

I have nothing but compassion for you at this point. My psy. put me on methyfolate 15 mg x 1 day, zinc 30mg 1x day, B-50 x 1 day and 4 epa/dha's daily and I was feeling better in 3 days.

I know this might not be your problem, but it sounds very similar to what I went through and I wanted to share my experience with you.

I hope you find an answer soon. Best, Kellie

16 months?  You ended in 2012?  Sorry, perhaps your condition is affecting your math.  Really sorry to read this.

Hi Thor,

Sorry to hear you have had such problems post Rx and post SVR.  Do you know what drugs you were on with the Peg. and Riba.? Are you still Undetected and what are your LFT'?  I'm surprised that an eminent Hospital such as OHMU would not have some answers for you. Some more info would be helpful. Cheers.

Hi Mike,

From your IP address and Username, you are in Medellin, Colombia. Are you trying to sell something? This Forum does not condone advertising, so please explain what you mean.  I notice you have also posted 'I have a cure for Hep C'. We would be interested in hearing about your 'cure'.

May 31st I took my last injection of Interferon/Ribaviron and 2 experimental drugs. I was told that 12 weeks after taking the medicine all side effects would be gone. 16 mos later I am so much worse than before I ever started. Symptoms are weakness, I have about 15% of the strength that I use to have and even less energy. Concentration, focus, memory and mental ability are just as degraded. Dizzy spells, especially after struggling to walk up 10 steps. Hep c is gone.  I would have rather died from the hep c than live this way.  I'm looking for answers like, is this permanent? After 16 mos I think it is. What can I do to get better.  I tried taking a bunch of vitamins that the representative suggested at the health food store and it was minimal at best.  Medical ? Most doctors I have found won't even acknowledge that there is such a condition and at OHSU where I did the program their response is "it couldn't have been from the  drugs I took there."  I was a machinist/programmer for 30+ years and a mathematical formula that I used almost every day I couldn't do and I knew the answer. WTF This is one of my better days and it took me 45 minutes to type this and before it would have only taken me 5 minutes. There needs to be a lawsuit people need to know what this stuff does to the human mind and body. Any answers would be appreciated.

Thanks

thor97267
