Hey Gracie

Interesting questions, to find corrections between Fx's and SVR would be very cool.

There might is some but it would be very hard to to get enough good data for every drug.

During most HCV treatments their is the eb and flow, up and down of emotions, pain and  euphoria.

Hi Gracie,

Platelet reduction is due to bone marrow suppression by Interferon- this also leads to low neutrophils. The haemolytic anaemia is due to Ribavirin. Cheers.

My platelets went from 96 to 73 to 69.  So that must be a sign that something is happening?

Hi Gracie,

There is no real correlation between Sx and treatment success. With the Incivek triple, it's always good to get a drop in Hb. That means the Ribavirin is working and at a satisfactory blood level. My doc used to like the triple patients to drop the Hb to between 9 and 10, but that's only his view. This level of Hb is likely to made you tired and lethargic, and is the only Sx that's relevant. Cheers.

Let the lab work tell you if it is working or not.  Many who have been exposed to a previous treatment of Interferon may not suffer as much on subsequent treatments.  If the viral count is going down, it is working.   I remember this discussion a while age.  Good luck with your treatment.

Is there any correlation between side effects and treatment results? Does anybody know what the ratios are or if there is any difference between those that get the rash, butt burn, etc against those that don't? I am feeling pretty good today and am worried that means theI treatment isn't working (shot last night).
