Hey Iris,

If you wake up in the morning, feeling like "Gumby"  you know it's working!

Happy relaxation,  Tig

Wow! thanks you guys! Good to hear from you all....smile hi Jill...

He said it should help with the migraines too which is a relatively new problem for me, I have been under considerable stress at home and the wind here has been unrelenting, wondered if that may contribute.

Lauralou the info on menopause was very enlightening smile,  I was always sore but reached a new plateau after I went through "the change".hmm

So I'll try one tonight and see if I turn to Gumby. yawn

Thanks Mallani, haven't got me a hepatololgist just a general practitioner. Still waiting on my BIG appointment at USC in March.

Blessings to you all, Iris

Hi Iris, I`ve been wondering how you`re getting on, good to hear from you!

Hope you find the flexeril gives you some relief, I believe fibromyalgia is a very painful condition.

Wishing you all the best, Jill  xx

I have been using flexeril to help with migraines caused by muscular problems since 2006. My neurologist recommended flexeril to me. These muscular problems got worse after I went through menopause and I had more and more migraines brought on by muscular problems. I asked my hep C doc before I started taking it in 2006. My hep C doc said that there were no problems with the liver and flexeril.

I had tried some other muscle relaxants that gave me a feeling of being washed out after I took them. Flexeril did not do this at all - I found it to be very smooth.

At first I took 5 mg at night before bed to help with the muscular problems. After a few years I increased the dosage gradually to 10 mg at night and this really helped me and my migraines decreased considerably.

So, in a way the flexeril has been a godsend for me and I have had no problems at all with it.

I hope this feedback helps.

Hi Iris,

Ola', right back atcha!!! Good to see you again! I found this NIH article on Flexeril and it mentions that no reports suggest a problem with hepatotoxicity. I've taken Flexeril before and it turns me into a "Gumby" evileye, lol! It certainly does what it's designed to do, relax muscle. I hope you find some relief from that awful FM. Good luck!

Hi Iris,

Good to hear from you. Like all anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants, flexeril has been mentioned as causing elevated liver enzymes. Make sure your Hepatologist is aware that you're taking it, and don't take it for too long. Cheers.

Ola' folks...the Dr. just prescribed me some flexeril ...it's supposed to help with the fibromyalgia.

Does anyone know if this a hard one for the liver to metabolize? The side effect that worries me is agitation...I'm plenty agitated anyway. evileye

Thanks and blessings, Iris
