Hi SusiQ, thanks for sharing this information, very helpful.

It`s great to hear what a high standard of support you`ve been getting on this Merck trial, that all sounds superb, and very encouraging for anyone else thinking of participating in a clinical trial.  Although I am aware that not everyone has reported getting such good support, it does seem to vary.

Let`s hope we hear some news from Merck about phase 3 trials soon!

Best of luck with your 4 week post tx results, you`ve responded very well so far!  smile

Hi All,

Went for my 4 week EOT appointment yesterday.

My coordinator mentioned that she has 2 new trials for geno 1 coming up this Spring.  Anyone living near the Dallas Ft Worth Texas area can private message me for the contact info--or look up Texas Medical Research Center in Arlington Texas.  I do not know what drug companies or any other details. You get that info when/if you are called for screening. Pretty sure no interferon and maybe no riba.  It helps if the center has your medical records etc already in their files. The available slots fill up quickly.

Also got a check for $550 yesterday for my participation so far in the trial.  That more than pays for the 150 mile round trip each time.  I also got a free biopsy, lots of blood work and 4 EKG's.  And I got lots of attention and questions about how I was feeling throughout the trial from the center. And a number to call 24/7 anytime I was feeling bad.  Really glad I had the center to support me--I felt they really cared.  Not that I had a lot of problems, but knowing someone was there if I did was a lot of comfort.
