Thanks Malcolm, Tig and ucbgal,

When I was first diagnosed in1999, the gastro told me he really had no info on Hep C.  He said if I wanted the latest info to use the internet.  And he would look also.  Then we could discuss it.  So, for years I have used the net for lots of my medical info--for me, my cats and my dogs.  And my grown children, but they don't listen. 

Yes, Malcolm, it should be compulsory-especially for new patients, old patients considering treatment and for the many GP's that will be involved in the new meds. Times--they are a-changing. 

And, yes, I am feeling better each day.  May have to take one pill less per day for diabetes as my blood sugar is really in low normal range.  Haven't yet figured out what to do with the extra hours when I used to nap.   I had no idea that Hep C was affecting me so much.  I have been UND for 5 months now and go for my 8 week post treatment test on March 11.

This is such an exciting time for us all.

Geno 1b, IL28B CT,  x3 prior relapser,  ex-cirrhotic, 75 yo, did 48 weeks with Victrelis/Peg./Riba.  VL 1.28m at start, UNDET. at 8 ,12 ,16 ,24 ,30  and 48 weeks.  EOT 15 Feb 2013 , UNDET. at EOT + 28 weeks. SVR!  Still Undet. at EOT +5 years

you are quite the fountain of knowledge. i can't thank you enough for this info & the video the other day.

the slide show was clear & concise as tig stated. i wish i had that info prior to my tx.nono my old dr looked at me like a deer in headlights when i asked about clinical trials. he chose to not inform me of his associate's trials to cash in on my health benefits!!!!!

yesterday was the 1st time i saw the commercial on national tv......talk about a surreal moment......

be well & onwards towards svr.

That was a great slideshow and is probably one of the best, most informative sources of current treatment protocols and subsequent breakdowns of success rates I've seen in such a compact format. Good find! Thank you for your continued help and input here on the forum!
