Congrats on getting underway with treatment, Hope. May it go well for you. Sounds like an excessive copay to me. Do some research via Tig's links and you may be able to get that reduced, if not eliminated. The PAN Foundation, for example, will cover prescriptions submitted up to 90 days prior to coverage approval. You will need to meet their qualification standards, but it's well worth checking out.

Best of luck,

wayne

Congratulations Hope, thats wonderful news! I'm glad you were able to get that payment assistance and encourage you to contact some additional organizations to see if you may be able to get that copay reduced even more. There is a link in my signature line that will take you to our list of organizations that are waiting to help.

We have several people currently on that treatment and the results have been very good. I'm sure they'll be letting you know. Sovaldi is a true powerhouse. You're familiar with the side effects from INT/Riba from previous discussions here, so you have an idea of what's ahead there, but those SFX are manageable and we're here to help you. Remember to eat properly and most important, hydrate! 2-3 liters of good filtered water per day will help keep some of the SFX at bay and will keep you healthy! Very important!! Check in and let us know how you're feeling. Good luck, SVR is in your future!

I will be starting my treatment this evening (Sovaldi, Interferon, & Ribavirin). My copay was supposed to be $500 a month (for 3 months) but I found a copay card for Sovaldi and Interferon and it has brought it down to $245, I found one for Ribavirin, but I think I found it too late. We are gonna try though!

Anyone taken this treatment combination yet? Any tips/suggestions? Or any in general?

Thanks, Love & Prayers,

Hope
