Hi,

Just got this in my email and thought I'd pass it on.  Looks like it is going to be used to monitor patients

doing the Sovaldi/Olysio combo for information on how the drug is doing in general population.

This email is to inform you about a clinical study of patients with chronic Hepatitis C. The purpose of this study is to collect blood samples from patients infected with Hepatitis C to measure levels of the virus. The results will be used to evaluate a laboratory test that can be used by doctors to assess a patients response to Hepatitis C medication.

Hologic

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Have chronic HCV infection
  • Are about to start treatment with Sovaldi (sofosbuvir)
  • Are at least 18 years of age
Hologic

Your participation in this study may help other hepatitis patients in the future manage their disease by developing a laboratory test that is more precise and accurate. Being part of a research study is completely voluntary. You may be compensated for your participation. Additional blood samples would be collected when you see your doctor for regular care.
