I want to let you all know how incredibly thankful I am to all of you pioneers of the HepC trials and former treatments. You have all made it possible for the new treatments to move forward and get better and more effective.

Your sacrifices and suffering are more appreciated than you may ever realize. Please know that I for one bow to your enduring spirits.

There really aren't enough words to express how I feel about you all laying down nearly a year of your lives to rid yourself of this terrible virus to pave the way for newer, better treatments. Your enduring spirits will forever be in my mind and heart.

For you pioneers of the old wars I commend you and send you much love, respect and peace.

Hugs Jen

I have felt this gratitude too this year as I went through my relatively easy S/O treatment, but couldn't express it- thank you Jen for the great post.

Hi Jen,

That is a very considerate message that is much appreciated. You hit on something that we all need to remember and share. Those that have benefitted from the many trials and less successful treatments before us, unknowingly paved a smoother road for many to follow. It's the kind and thoughtful messages like yours, that serve to remind us all of the sacrifices many have agreed to make, whether they realize it or not! Thank you for remembering all of the pioneers. But I would add that it is people like you and those that will follow, that continue to pave that same road and our thanks goes on...
