Hey Lisa!

Hopefully it's going to be available soon. Acceptance is taking hold and the various governments are realizing Sovaldi/Harvoni's effectiveness. At 95+ rates of success, it's proving to be a smart financial decision. It obviously is proving its medical value!

Oh they know it alright, I had a perscription last year. It is pricing negotiation that is the issue. I understand there are 66 thousend people here knowingly infected and can't access currently. Greedy insurance companies :/

What use is a perscription without the price agreed?

Hi everyone,

I have been hiding in the real world, but busy with the hospital. Today I was implanted with two embyros, I wont know if they took for a couple of weeks. but either way, its wonderful to get the chance.

What was even better is they bought a new freezer so my other potential babies, that gives me other chances if this fails.

I gave my first bloods after all the hormones, injections and things. I will be interested how my liver took it considering all the drugs are metabolized through the liver, and of course normal protocol is after a patient has achieved SVR.

Anyway, I had an interesting chat with a South African Doctor that will be monitoring the the babies if they are born for HVC. We discussed about using very strong anti-virals just before birth as they had great success in South Africa. That is the course of action I will be taking. Anyway it is good to hear the statistic of only 5% vertical infection, with only 1% becoming chronic. :)

Anyway, wish me luck, will be a long two weeks.

L :D
