I wish my doctor would read the forum.  He might then get a better idea of how people are doing post treatment!  And thank you also for the support I received and still do.  It got me through so much!

What a lovely thread, thanks Brian!

I`m very pleased that your doctor was impressed with what he saw here, thanks for letting us know about that.  I wish more doctors would be so open minded and maybe they would learn a lot from the real life experiences that people share here.  He sounds like a great guy, you`re very lucky!

It`s very gratifying to see so many positive comments about the forum.  We have a wonderful community here which is made up of many caring and helpful members and that means all of  you.  This is your forum and it`s you who make it what it is, so thank you all for being so kind and considerate to each other and for being so willing to share your experiences and support so freely.

Best of luck Brian, do let us know when you hear your results!  smile

I agree!  This site has been a blessing.  Everyone's got something, and when we share the burdens they do get lighter!  Thank you to all who share pieces of themselves, it has been so appreciated.

I second that Tig. Fortuitous day that it's been, I finally got checks, first time since I've been off treatment and I got two of them! So happy I ran right over to the board like a good kid and made my donation with the handy little contribute button on the bottom of the main page. Yep, felt good to be able to do my part. Money is just one way to say a heartfelt THANK YOU!!! I also plan on sticking around and doing my best to help others in whatever way I can think of, or at least try to, as they make their way through the maze.

Good for you Brian with your rockin' doc! Having a good one sure can take the rough spots out of the ride.

Heal on every body!

~ Rudi Roo

Thank you Brian for starting this thread.  I wholeheartedly agree this is an awesome site.  It's as though we are a synergy of struggle, sorrow, pain, fear, and uncertainty.  Added to this a collection of wisdom, knowledge, insight, and empathy. Shared hopes, dreams, joy, and love. Here, the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. Thanks to all who share and help to make this happen.

During my treatment I relied on this site and the people here to get me through the days. No one else wanted to listen, including my doctor. biggrin Now that I know so much about Hep C I don't have it any more. Just figures.

Hey Brian,

I enjoyed hearing your doctor had visited the site and liked what he saw. I hope he returns to see how the people in the trenches are feeling, as these treatments continue to evolve. Anyone interested in knowing more about the real world effects this disease and these drugs have on their patients, can certainly find it here.

I also know that each one of us has a story of thanks for everyone here. The support and assistance has carried us all through some very trying times. I know I received priceless help from too many to name. We have a pretty awesome bunch here, past and present!

Hi Brian1412,

Wow, that's a sign of a great doctor.  Good for you that your doctor appreciates the real-life information here from people living with HCV and going through treatment.   I wish mine was that open minded.  Ditto your kudos to this site and to the people that manage it!

Best of luck with your lab results!

- Tess
