Lindsay!  So good to hear from you again!!  biggrin

Yes, some of us `old timers` are still here!  Thanks so much for stopping by with your update and please tell Renee how happy we are that she`s doing well post treatment, and still free from Hep C!

Very sorry to hear about your dreadful foot infection, but with the imminent onset of sepsis I`m sure losing your lower right leg was the best and only sensible course of action and could well have saved your life.   Your strong spirit and upbeat attitude must have helped enormously while you`ve  been adjusting to using your prosthetic and I really hope the issues you`re having will resolve with time.

You were a rock for Renee during her treatment and I`m sure she`s been only too happy to be there for you during your difficult times, your dedication to each other is a very precious thing.

Wishing you both all the best of luck, and much health and happiness together! smile

Hi Lindsay,

Its good to hear from you again! I'm happy to know Renee is doing well and maintaining her SVR. That's wonderful news! Tell her hello from the gang!

I'm sorry to hear about your infection and the loss of your leg. That must have been difficult but it sounds like you handled that bravely and correctly. Sepsis is an ugly condition that can lead to very unpleasant results. I'm glad that you're doing better and hope that prosthesis problem gets straightened out soon. You have both had quite the set of experiences over the last few years and I'm glad you were there for each other.

I wish you both continued good luck and improved health!

Hi everyone! It's been a while since Renee (LadyAlaise) or I have posted. Renee is 2.5 years post treatment and doing well. Looks like she slayed the dragon for good ;) The past few years have been good in that she's feeling better, but I had a nasty foot infection develop that would not clear. I wound up having to have my lower right leg amputated as I was nearing the point of going septic. That happened in November 2014. I'm feeling a lot better physically, but I'm having some issues with the prosthetic. I've been back at work since the end of January though, so it'd didn't get me down too long! I told Renee this was payback for me helping care for her while on treatment for hep C...jokingly of course. I would do everything all over again to support her through treatment. I hope all is well for you all here. :)

Love and light,

Lindsay
