Coolheat. I am glad you will get the meds. There. Have been a few members recently who were surprised with a significant deductible out of the blue. It is going to get worse as people seek treatment. We are going to see thst in spite. Of obamacare saying that there isno preexisting. Condition or rationing here it is. Its going to get worse as more long time infected people are going to seek treatment. The people in the hep c fight can fix it.

A petition. Is a a great action but not one to the administration who by design made it tjis way: again bu design.they even wrote a book about. We have rationing. As that is what is happening. No pre conditions allowed by obamacare yet we sre seeing it now
Correct. Me if i. Wrong but isnt Harvoni a drug that one could. Not stop say between scripts and pick up and start again later
You cant take someone off chemos to wait for the check to clear to start again

The support groups could make a huge difference by alerting your congressman..they would apreciate the help. Obama care will fall by the court we need to teacj the reps that it is in everyones interest. To start treating. All sooner than at the transplant. Ones congressman. Can an will help with individuals

Marsha,

Dont forget to contact those organizations on that list of payment assistance programs I sent you. These situations are exactly what they are there for. Give them a call and see if you can't get some or all of your money back. It is worth trying! Good luck...

Probably a deductible. The drug company support path should help you if you fight them. They are getting plenty from your insurance, so the deductible is peanuts to them. With paying that much, its worth some calls.

best of luck to you ...

AcariaHealth was correct in what they were charging me. Whether I have it or not, they had the dollar amt. right for what they need to refill my 2nd tx.  My Blue Shield covers my part A and B on my Medicare, not D, which is the prescription part.  My Dr. in his paperwork for me to be approved, put that I was catastrophic. Now you would think they would make more allowances for that. Not so, price of deductible goes up.  Medicare paid 95 % of the monthly cost of Harvoni. The rest is up to me.  So the price of $1,625.00 is the other 5 %.  We will be totally prepared for next month. Lessons learned; several.  I am still going to pursue questions, especially about why I was not just told that from the get. That that is what I would need for next round. Some, as I understand it have had to skip spaces of treatment because of this sort of mix up. That would work to their advantage in the long run. Thank you all for hearing my drama about this when it hit the fan here. Appreciate all the input and caring. This train car won't be stopping until it gets to the station with sword in hand. My avatar is 2 years before I contracted hep c. Thanks again, Marsha   If its only suppose to be 5 % deductible per mo., wonder why they charged me $3,875.00 to begin with. I will find out mon.
