Hi Cuddie,

If you would like to add some of the information to your signature line, here's a link to the instructions to do that. Things like your genotype, viral load and any past treatments, really helps us when replying to your posts and allows us to provide quicker, more informed opinions. smile

Hi Cuddie,

The current recommended course of treatment for genotype 2 is:

Genotype 2Sovaldi + ribavirin for 12 weeks
(16 weeks with cirrhosis)

How long ago did you relapse?  From your post I can't tell if you previously took Sovaldi?   You are already aware of how the riba affects you. The Sovaldi side effects aren't too bad.  This should be much easier than the Pegasys.  The SVR rates for this combination are very high.  Good luck on getting started.

I am genotype 2.  My Dr's are looking into another treatment for me since I have relapsed on Pegasys and sol/rib.  They talked a little about sometimes the medicine tricks the body thinking that it is gone. I didn't understand that at all. Anyways they have given me a month of and In September they will have a new plan and the medicine they want me to take this time.
