I found the large image in your 'Card' post and made it display smaller. The full size is still attached. smile

Hi Ari, don't know if this link will help or not but maybe ...

I've found making them a maximum of 600 pixels wide works great on this site.

Hi - I've just posted a pic and again it's too big. I would appreciate if a moderator could kindly resize it.

I have a Mac - will ask my son to teach me how to resize pics myself so this doesn't happen again.

Thanks - you guys are amazing

Also, some forums automatically reduce the file size to proper size for posting. This forums software does not. If you want to reduce the size of your photo so that it can be inserted in the message area you can do so using 'Paint' program which is included with Windows operating systems, (click on 'All Programs' > 'Accessories' > 'Paint'. Open the photo with 'Paint' then click 'resize' (circled in red in the attached image). Change the 'horizontal' setting (circled in green) to a number lower than 100. I usually try 75 for starters. The 'maintain aspect ratio' box (circled in blue) should be checked. Then click 'save as' and you can rename the photo to something like 'xxx resized'.

If you need it inserted into the text area and all else fails, then insert it full size and I will be happy to resize it for you.

It's good to see you post Iris. I hope you are doing well! smile

Hi Iris,

The forum software has size limits and if your picture isnt posting, it's probably too large of a file. What type of file was it? JPEG, GIF? That makes a difference too. If the file is too large, you should still be able to post it in an icon form. When you add the attachment, don't select the option to "Insert" and it will leave an icon at the bottom of your message that we can click on and open the file to full size. Also, if a large photo or file does manage to post to your message, you may have noticed in the past that the text of the entire thread becomes so small, it's nearly impossible to read. If that happens, we have had to start editing those attachments to keep the thread readable.

I left a message recently that explains some of this. I'll add the link below.

I'm  sure this has been addressed before...however I have trouble posting pics.  Had a really great one for Veteran's day, but it was HUGE, so I took it out. I posted the same pic on a different forum and it come out in about a 3x5 size. What am I doing wrong here?

Bb, Iris
