Hello and welcome! I have to agree with Jimmy, we could use a bit more information and history. You mentioned that you had Hep C last month and are now recovering. That sounds odd, because you didnt mention if that means you finished treatment a month ago or were told that you achieved SVR. If possible, could you provide us with some additional background info? Things like your genotype, treatment taken, etc., all would be helpful. Most of us add that to our signature line, so we can reference your history in a glance. I have included a link to some helpful info and instructions on accomplishing that.

With that said, if you have been treated or cleared the virus on your own, having a procedure like a rhinoplasty shouldn't be that big a deal. I have had scores of major and minor surgeries while I was actively infected and did just fine. Having the active virus doesn't disqualify you from having medical procedures anyway. It's your overall health and physical condition that matters most.  In the end you have to place your trust in your healthcare team. Your surgeon should discuss this with your liver specialist if there are any concerns. Good luck!

Hi .. I am planning to do a rhinoplasty in Toronto and booked an appointment with Dr. Oakley Smith next week. I have read in a health magazine that rhinoplasty should be considered only if you are perfectly fit and healthy. I had hepatitis C last month and I am recovering from it. Should I delay my surgery for a while? Or can I have it next month?
